Should I Be a Gestational Surrogate?

So we've tossed around the idea of me having a gestational surrogate pregnancy. (A gestational surrogate means that the eggs would not be mine, so the baby would not be biologically related to me in any way.) Anyone know of anyone who has done this? Thoughts? Risks? Successes? Horror stories? Anyone know where I can find more information?

One of my friends has always wanted to do this but I don't know much about it. What a wonderful gift to be able to give!

What a wonderful gift Autumn! We will be praying for discernment for you guys! The first thing I thought of was you are going to have 5 babys LOL! With your body blessing you with twins so easily is this something that they would take like 5 or 6 embrios and see what takes? If so you might want to see if you are at a higher risk of having mulitiples. Just a thought.

We will definitely be looking into that Kari! I don't think they use that many eggs at a time, though. The stories I've read usually use about 3 at a time, but still, do I want to carry triplets??? Yikes!
